Supervisory Role

Introduction
The Office of Human Resources currently offers comprehensive leadership and management certificate programs, two of which are specifically focused on building supervisory skills.   We are in the process of developing a new program which is designed for new supervisors at Penn State, individuals either new to a supervisory role, or new to Penn State.  The new program, to be offered in a blended learning format, will provide essential or core information needed by new supervisors to ensure success in their new role and improve their capacity to promote an ethical workplace culture. Additionally, this training will be required for all current supervisors and managers by 2018.
